PROFESSIONAL BIO

Mpoti is an experienced Corporate Finance and Business Rescue professional, a qualified Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Financial Analyst with over 14 years of experience. He began his career as an Audit Trainee at Ernst & Young, focusing on mining and industrial businesses. He then spent significant time at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) in the Chemicals and Allied Industries Strategic Business Unit, specializing in business assessment, due diligence, portfolio management, deal structuring, and sourcing strategic partners.

His work covered the entire value chain, from Oil & Gas to Pharmaceuticals, giving him broad industry expertise. After IDC, he led corporate finance for Avacare Health Group as Head of Mergers, Acquisitions, and Investee Companies and now serves as General Manager: Corporate Development, overseeing M&A, capital raising, and business turnarounds.

Mpoti has also collaborated with LOT Advisory Services on multiple business rescue and turnaround projects.

PROFESSIONAL BIO

Tebogo Maoto has over 20+ years of development finance (from the Industrial Development of South Africa Limited (“IDC”), Corporate Finance, and Investment banking experience in Turnaround and Business Restructuring (from various financial institutions).

Tebogo is a licensed Senior Business Rescue Practitioner at the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and a Designated Business Restructuring Professional (BRP) through the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Professionals (SARIPA).

He is also a Non-Executive Director (NED), Member of the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC), and a Member of the Social & Ethics Committee (SOC) at Concor Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Concor), one of the largest civil, building, roads, earthworks, property development, and mining companies in South Africa.

The Turnaround and Value Add (“TOVA”) team from the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) appointed Tebogo as a service provider to provide support with a selection of our Investees in Business Rescue or Liquidation.
